27556 User-centric privacy preferences management framework
ISO/IEC 27556 presents a user-centric framework for personal data handling based on privacy preferences
and privacy preference administration, which:
- defines the actors and roles in the personal data handling,
- describes components, their relationships and procedures,
- describes role and properties of a privacy preference management within a privacy information
management system, and - provides requirements for privacy preference administration and PII handing based on privacy
preference management.
The standard was developed from 2020 to 2022, with Trialog involved as co-editor.
NOTE: The standard uses the term PII (Personally identifiable information) instead of personal data.
